Sammy's Aunt Basement

There's a mystery just waiting to be solved

hiding inside Sammy's aunt's basement

Chapter 1:

It all began when Sammy Turtle's aunt pulled into a dusty

driveway. And parked right next to a sign that read big 

black letters:

WELCOME TO HAVEN'S INN

But some prankers had added the word mare to the end of

inn. In red spray paint so now the sign read:

WELCOME TO HAVEN'S MARE-INN 

"Oh wow!" They should've googled on how to spell

before wasting all that paint!" Daisy Penguin giggled after reading

what was written. Vicky Dragonfly also laughed before she added

once she got out of the car

"I bet this place was beautiful before they let it go."

"Beautiful?" This place is a dump." Tommy Cub frowned

"I still can't believe that your aunt actually brought this place."

He added

"Me neither. But she keeps saying that with a good rub down

it'll look better than before." Sammy shrugged

"Okay, kids, I put all your bags inside. but before I leave

I need you kids to be very careful walking around the house

"Some of the floor boards are a bit loose so watch out for them."

Sammy's aunt told them

"Leave?" We just got here, where are you going?" Sammy frowned

"I won't be gone for long. Just a few hours I need to go into

town. "And see Mr. Cash, about signing some legal papers."

His aunt explained. 

"Now, why don't you kids go inside and get settled in.

 When I get back we'll catch a movie." She added

"Sounds great Aunt Jen." Sammy smiled

"Great! And remember to.."

"We know, we know watch we're walking!" they all laughed

Chapter 2:

"Hey!" What's wrong with the TV?" All I get is just a bunch

of static." Tommy frowned

"Well, punching on it isn't going to help. I don't think that

my aunt connected the cable to it yet." Sammy shrugged

"Oh great, so what are we supposed to do until she gets back?"

Tommy whined

"Tommy, will you please stop complaining that's all you've done

since we got here." Daisy protested

"I can't help it. I get cranky when I get bored." Tommy shrugged

"Hey, I've an idea. Why don't we explore the house?" Cookie asked

"Umm, I don't think so Cookie, I'm sure my aunt wouldn't want 

us wandering around. 

"You heard what she said about the floorboards." Sammy protested

"We'll be careful Sammy, it'll just give us something to do until

she gets back." Cookie smiled

then after discussing it a bit further, they decided that it was a 

good idea

“Chuck told me the reason your aunt got this place so cheap.

Was because a couple of kids were found murdered in one of 

the rooms. “After they broke in looking for some hidden treasure

they believed was buried someplace in the house.”

Tommy was telling them as they headed downstairs toward the 

basement

“And you believe that stupid story.” Daisy frowned

“Cool. Look what I just found I think it’s one of those old

board games.”

 Sammy said before he blew off the dust from on top

of the box. Then held it up to show the rest of the group

“Sweet, I bet if we sell it online. We’d get lots of money

for it. “Even if it does smell like old mothballs.”

Tommy answered taking the box away from Sammy. Daisy

was just about to ask Tommy if she could see it. When Vicky cut

her off by jumping out from behind some boxes. And yelled

“Whoa, where did you guys come from?”

“Oh, very funny Vicky. You almost scared the fur off of me.

"Where did you get that spooky mask from anyways?"

Daisy asked her frowning. But instead of answering her back

Vicky took the old ox mask off her face and asked

"Where did they disappear to?"

"Where did who disappear?" Cookie asked her

"You mean you guys, didn't just see a bunch of strange-looking

kids. "Dressed in old fashion clothes running around?"

Vicky answered

"Umm, Vicky?" Did you hit your head or something?"

there's no kids in here except for us." Cookie frowned

"Then explain who they're." Vicky shrugged as she handed

Cookie the old mask

Chapter 3:

Cookie gasped suddenly the basement looked creepier

and where Vicky was standing. A group of ghostly figures 

as she described were happily playing with the board game 

that Sammy just found

Cookie yanked off the mask and handed it back to Vicky

"Well, did you see them?" Vicky asked her

"Yup. I couldn't see their faces they were too blurry."

Cookie nodded

"Oh, please do you think that we're that dumb?" To believe what

you're saying?" Tommy smirked

"Well, if you don't believe us. Why don't you put it on and see for

yourself." Vicky shrugged 

"Whatever!" Tommy put on the mask and yelled out

"Cool!" Sammy, you have to check this out!"

"Nah, I'll just take you guys' word for it. thanks anyway."

Sammy protested

"Let me see," Daisy said taking the mask and putting it on

but instead of laughing. She yanked it out and took off

running back upstairs

A moment later they caught up with Daisy back in the 

living room

"Okay, are you going to tell us why you freaked out like that?"

Tommy asked her

"I just got scared after seeing the kids. A big ball of light 

blinded me and when it cleared up. "They were lying on the

floor not moving." Daisy sobbed

"Maybe we shouldn't go back down there. And just forget

about the whole thing." Sammy told them

"Or we can try to help them." Cookie shrugged

"Help them how?" If they can't even see or hear us."

Sammy frowned

"Don't know yet. But I'm sure we can figure it out."

Cookie also shrugged

Chapter 4:

The next morning they got up early and went downstairs

to the basement and began exploring it

"So, where did your aunt run off to this morning?"

Tommy asked Sammy

"She had to go back into town to sign more papers,"

Sammy answered him

"Whoa, check this out!" Maybe, if we put these old clothes on

we can connect with those kids. "And have them talk with

us," Cookie told them

"No way! I'm not putting on some smelly clothes."

Sammy snorted

"Oh, don't be a wimp dude. What do we've to lose."

Tommy smirked

"Do you really want me to answer that?"

Tommy just ignored Sammy as he added

"So, who is going to put on the mask?"

"Me." Vicky smiled. And before she even had a chance to 

put it on. A strange smell suddenly filled the room along with

some frightened voices and a couple of strong paws quickly 

dragging them back upstairs. And out of the house

"Are you kids alright?" What in the world were you doing 

down there?" Sammy's aunt yelled

"We're so sorry. We didn't mean to do anything wrong

"We just found this old board game yesterday and thought

it'd be fun to play with it!" Sammy sobbed

"Please don't cry Sammy, I'm not mad at you

"I was just scared when I came home and couldn't find

you. And when I smelled the gas coming from the basement

and saw you kids there." With sleepy confused face, I freaked

I'm sorry that I yelled at you." His aunt explained. She then 

gathered them all up and gave them a big group hug

"Why don't we go outside and get some fresh air? And then

you can tell me why you all are wearing those funky-looking clothes."

She added laughing

Chapter 5:

And as Cookie watched her confused friends follow

Sammy's aunt outside. It hit her why she couldn't see their

faces clearly. The mask wasn't showing them any ghostly kids

from the past. It was showing them the future of what would've 

happened if they would've stayed inside the basement

And even though she didn't understand why. Cookie couldn't 

help but smile and be grateful that they were all alive and safe.

Online Party

Chapter 1:

A little after seven p.m. Honey Kitten smiled 

as she looked around her bedroom. To make sure she had

everything ready for her up all-night online party. She 

pulled her fur up into a ponytail and then turned on her computer

And waited for the rest of her friends to log in. She 

didn't have to wait for long

A few minutes later her computer screen was filled 

with five small boxes

"Hey guys!" Honey greeted them happily

"H- oh whoa! What's wrong with your face!" 

Sammy Turtle cried out

"Yeah Honey, dip is made for chips not to be spread all 

over your face!" Tommy Cub joked

"Oh ha-ha. For your information Tommy, this is the newest 

face cream. 

"That just came out it's supposed to wipe away all

the dirt and oil from your pores. And make your skin feel super 

clean." Honey began

"Please don't tell me that we're going to stay up all night

"Just talking about girly stuff," Tommy whined 

"Well, if wouldn't hurt you any. I mean have you seen your

mane lately?" Daisy Penguin smirked

"Huh?"

 There's nothing wrong with my mane." Tommy protested

as he combed his paw through it

"Oh, nothing. 

If you're happy looking like you just stuck your 

paw inside a light socket." But hey, who am I to judge!"

Daisy laughed

"Super not funny. You're just jealous that's all."

Tommy whined

"Okay, okay kiddies. We're supposed to be having fun

not arguing with each other." 

I know why don't we vote on who

can tell the best ghost story? "And whoever wins will be treated

to free ice cream the next time we go to your mom's ice cream store."

Cookie suggested 

"Sounds good, I'll good first. This is a story that my cousin

told me a few weeks ago." Vicky Dragonfly smiled

"This is the story about Tammy Hawk." She added in a spooky voice

Chapter 2:

Who? The rest of the gang wanted to know

"According to my cousin many, many, many years ago 

Tammy Hawk moved to Rocky Shores. "So, normally she didn't

have many friends plus it didn't help that she was really shy.

"So, you can imagine how excited she was when she was invited to 

one of her classmate's sleepovers." Vicky began

"What's so scary about that?" Tommy asked

"Well, Tommy, if you'd stop interrupting her. "Maybe you'll

get to find out."

 Daisy scowled at him. Vicky giggled and then continued

"The night of the party Tammy was super nervous. But as

the night went on she began to relax. "That was until one

of the girls pulled out her cell phone and began telling them 

about a game. "She found online called Scary Brandy, in which

you're supposed to turn off all the lights, and yell out her name."

Vicky started to explain

"Then ten fuzzy bunnies will jump out and attack you!"

Tommy joked

"Cute Tommy, but no." Supposedly Brandy will crawl out from

the floor if you act scared. She'll grab you and drag you

back through the floor never to be seen again. But if you

don't act scared she'll leave you alone."

Vicky stated

  

"Who would ever want to play such a dumb game like that?"

"There's no way I'd play anything like that?" Sammy snorted

"Wow, shocking Sammy. We all knew that." Tommy joked

Since they all knew that Sammy was scared of his own shadow

"Sammy isn't the only one. "Who wasn't all that crazy about playing."

Vicky laughed. "Since for whatever reason before any of the girls

would even start playing. Tammy, jumped up and ran out of the

room screaming no over and over again."

"Before going out to look for her Tammy's friends yelled. For

her to come back." A few minutes later they finally 

found her frozen to death inside her friends' pool house."

Vicky added 

What?

"Supposal for whatever reason Tammy decided to go in 

there to hide." But when she closed the door all the 

snow was on top of the roof.  Fell pressing against it 

trapping Tammy inside." Vicky explained

"This story is more sad than scary," Cookie told her

Vicky smiled before she continued 

"But the story doesn't end there. It has been said

that her spirit never left her friend's house. "It's just

waiting to seek her even on those she believes caused her

death that night."

"Wait. What do you mean caused her death?" She ran out

of the room and decided to go and hide inside the 

pool house." That wasn't anyone's fault."

Daisy frowned

"Yeah, and how is she supposed to get even. When she's

dead?" Tommy added

"Don't know. But according to my cousin now if you're

brave enough to play Scary Brandy." Instead of Brandy 

crawling out the floor it's Tammy." Vicky giggled

"And you believe this stupid story?" Tommy asked her

"Yeah Vicky, it does sound pretty out there."

Honey added

"Well, there's only one way to find out?"

Vicky shrugged with a creepy smile on her face

Chapter 3:

She then turned off her bedroom lights and started

yelling out Tammy's name

"Vicky, stop!" I don't think that you shouldn't be doing

that!" Sammy cried. But instead of answering him 

Vicky suddenly disappeared off-screen. The only thing 

they could see was the blue light coming from her computer 

screen

"Umm, maybe she had to go to the bathroom." Let's give

her a few minutes." Cookie told them

After a few minutes, Vicky still didn't return

"Guys, I'm getting a funny feeling. Shouldn't she have been

back by now?" Maybe we should try calling her or something."

Sammy suggested

"I did. But I'm only getting her voice mail it's weird."

"Just like she was acting while she was telling that stupid 

story," Daisy answered him

"Weird, how?" Tommy frowned

"Well, great now Cookie's gone!" Sammy interrupted

Chapter 4:

"Honey looked and noticed that just like Vicky's computer

screen. It was empty with only the blue light coming out

of it

"Okay, this is getting a bit creepy. As soon as Vicky started

yelling out Tammy's name." She disappeared and now

Cookie has disappeared too, Maybe that story wasn't as dumb

as we thought it was." She told them

"Oh no, you guys we need to go to Cookie's house. "Right away 

She needs our help!" Daisy suddenly cried out 

"What?" Tommy frowned

"Cookie,

 just texted me. the reason she left the chat was because

she heard a noise. "Coming outside from her pool house and

when she went to check it out." She found Vicky standing there

staring at her. and when she asked her what she was doing in there

"Vicky only laughed and told her that Tammy brought her there."

"Cookie got scared and tried to get away. But Vicky was too quick and

locked her in and refused to let her out." Until Tammy tells her to."

Daisy quickly explained

"That's crazy!" Sammy cried out

"You think?" That's why we need to go over there and help 

her." Daisy interested

A couple minutes later they were inside Cookie's 

backyard. And noticed that the door to her pool house

was opened

"Maybe we should just wait until she texts you again.

"Before going in," Tommy said

"Yeah, and where is her mom?" Shouldn't we let her know

what's happening?" Sammy added

Daisy shoved a flashlight to each of them and ordered

"Cookie needs our help now! We don't have time  

for dumb questions. Let's just go in."

Moments later Honey nervously opened the door

And searched for the light switch. But before she 

could flick on her flashlight. A bright light flashed in

her face and happy cheers rang out from all over

Got ya!

Chapter 5:

Honey was so startled that she lost her balance

And fell right on her butt

"You should see the look on your face right now.

"It's priceless!" Vicky laughed as she helped her up

"Okay, what's going on here?" Honey cried

Daisy went up to her and gave Honey a big hug

"We've been planning this for a while. Ever since you

got us in trouble last month." When you told us that a 

mysterious cat burglar was breaking inside your mom's shop.

"And stealing all her ice cream. So, we broke in and hid in 

the freezer to catch him. "But it was all a big lie that you made

up," Daisy explained    

"Yeah, we almost froze to death," Sammy added

"Sammy, no we didn't. Don't be such a dork." But I did

catch a killer cold days after." Tommy laughed

"I'm really sorry about that you guys. I never meant

to get any of you in trouble." Even though it wasn't any

of your faults. I let my anger get the best of me.

"I was so mad and hurt that all of you went to fun places 

for spring break." And I was stuck home bored since my mom

had to conceal our plans." When she couldn't find a replacement to

look after the store. "It was really dumb of me."

Honey sadly explained 

then after eating pizza and playing a few video games

Honey walked over to Vicky and smiled

"Honestly Vicky, you deserve an acting award. You

had me going with that story, I honestly believed it was

true."

And before Vicky had a chance to respond 

the lights in the pool house suddenly flicked off

And a ghostly voice evilly laughed

"Hello Honey, I've been waiting for you!"

Heart-Shaped Box Mystery

Chapter 1:

Daisy Penguin opened her gym locker

and was confused. to find that there was a 

heart-shaped box inside of it. She looked around and 

checked if any other kids were hanging around

"This is so weird I wonder who left me this?" She thought

Daisy slowly opened the box when a smelly green smoke

filled the room. She quickly dropped the box then

kicked it across the room, grabbed her stuff, and ran out

After school Daisy meets with her friends inside the local 

pizza place. And told them what happened

"Okay, let me get this straight. Some kid broke into 

your locker and left you some green box

That blew up when you kicked it?"

Tommy Cub frowned

"It didn't blow up it just.." Daisy began

"Why would they do something dumb like that"

Cookie asked her

"Don't know.

 But I don't think it was funny." Daisy answered

"Hey!

 Maybe you've a secret admire!" Sammy Turtle laughed

"Or a smelly one!" Tommy added

"Ha-ha, you're so not funny," Daisy smirked 

"So, what did you do with it?" Cookie asked her

"Nothing. It's probably still where I left it at

"Why?" Daisy answered

"Maybe, we should go and see if there's any clue

"That we can use to figure out who left it."

Cookie shrugged

Soon afterward they were back inside the locker room

"It should be right underneath that bench." 

Daisy told them

"Are you sure?" I don't see anything here."

Sammy answered her after he took a quick peek

"Well. maybe it grew little feet and walked away!"

Tommy laughed

"Wow, Tommy you're on a roll today. Why don't

you grow little feet and run away?" Daisy smirked

"It's walk..." Tommy began

"Hey Daisy, you have a note sticking out of your locker."

Cookie interrupted

"Oh great, can't wait to see what my so-called admire left

for me now." Daisy frowned as she opened the note

and then read it out loud

ROSES ARE RED

THIS HEART- SHAPE BOX IS A

SPECIAL GIFT FOR YOU

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO I AM

MEET ME BY THE ENTRANCE OF FOX'S CAVE

AFTER SCHOOL TOMORROW

"Oh wow, looks like we got ourselves a little mystery

to solve." Cookie laughed

"What do you mean we?" Daisy's the one who got

the dumb box. Why do we all have to go?"

Tommy frowned

"Really Tommy, isn't Sammy the one who usually

chickens out?" Cookie giggled

"Hey!"

"Only kidding Sammy. besides this could be our chance

to prove all those rumors. "About Fox's cave

are just that, a bunch of silly rumors." Cookie added

Chapter 2:

The next day they all meet in front of Cookie's house

"So, are we all ready to go?" She asked them

"Hey Sammy, what's inside the bag?" 

Daisy asked him

"Umm, let's see I got some snacks, a couple of 

flashlights. "And some other stuff that we might need,"

Sammy answered her back

"Wow Sammy, we're only going to be there for maybe

an hour. "Not the whole night!"

Daisy laughed

"I know. But you can never be prepared."

Sammy smiled

A few minutes later they arrived

"Okay, here's the plan. Sammy and I will check out

the left side. "And you girls: can check out the right side

then we'll meet back in an hour. "But if you see anything

just yell," Tommy explained as he handed them each a 

flashlight

"So, where do you guys want to start looking?"

Cookie asked the other girls. But they didn't answer

her back

"Hello?" What's the matter with you guys?"

She frowned. Vicky shined her flashlight on the object

so Cookie could have a better look. Standing right in

front of them was the image of a strange-looking 

monster. That seemed to be growling at them

for a few seconds none of them could move nor speak

Until Daisy let out a loud scream before she took

off running. Followed by the other girls and they didn't

stop running until they reached Cookie's house

Five minutes later the boys showed up

"Hey! What happened?" Why did you guys just

take off without letting us know."

Tommy asked them frowning

"I can't believe." Vicky began.

 Cookie quickly told them what they saw back

at the cave

"Oh wow, I guess all those rumors were true,"

Sammy said before he popped his head into his shell

"Well, at least we solved one mystery. Not the one I wanted

though since we still don't know who left the box."

Daisy sighed. "Before I forget Sammy, here's your flashlight

back." She added

"Thanks. Just put it back inside my bag." Sammy smiled

Chapter 3:

The next day during lunch Daisy told the girls

what she found when she looked inside Sammy's bag

"So, do you think they planned the whole thing?"

Vicky asked her

"No.

 Tommy masterminded it and just talked Sammy into it

"He even had him carry all the stuff."

Daisy answered

"I can't believe those little jerks would pull something like 

this. And believe that they'd get away with it."

Vicky cried out

"Now, now ladies. Let's not get our furs all uptight

I say that we turn the tables and pay them back."

Daisy smiled

How? 

Daisy leaned in closer towards them and whispered

the plan she had in mind

Later that day

"What's wrong with you guys?" Tommy asked the girls

who all looked like they were about to cry

"I've to go back to Fox's cave. I think I lost my ring

when we ran out the other day. "My mom is going to

kill me when she finds out." Daisy sighed

"Oh well, might as well go and get it over with. 

Wish us luck, boys come on girls let's go." She added.

 She then slowly got 

up and walked away followed by Cookie and Vicky

Tommy looked over towards Sammy and nervously

asked him

"Dude, you did pick up all the stuff and took them home

"Right?"

"Umm, I think so. But I don't remember getting the tape 

recorder I thought you did."

Sammy shrugged

"Oh great. Come on we better get there before 

they do and find it." Tommy moaned

Chapter 4:

A few minutes the boys arrived at Fox's cave

and quickly went inside

"Okay good, they're not here yet. They probably 

went someplace first, let's just grab the

recorder and leave." Tommy told him. But before they

could start looking. Small pieces of flying rocks

hit them on top of the head. Followed by a giant cloud

of fog and an earth-shattering roar. The boys didn't say

a word as they took off running back to

Cookie's house

When they got back to Cookie's house. Tommy 

turned to Sammy and told him

"We never left. we've been waiting here all

this time."

A couple of minutes later the girls showed up

"Did you have any luck finding your ring?"

Sammy asked Daisy

"Oh, I feel so stupid. We were halfway there when 

I suddenly remembered that my mom took it to

have it clean." Daisy laughed

Chapter 5:

The next day Tommy and Sammy went to the library

to help Miss Dolly

"Hi boys, there's a package on the counter for you.:

She told them once they walked in

"Huh?" Why would there be anything left for us here?"

Sammy asked her

"Don't know. It was there when I arrived this morning."

Miss Dolly shrugged before she walked into her office

The boys slowly made their way to the package

and opened it. Inside the box was a tape recorder

along with a heart-shaped box. A note typed to it

that read:

HEY GUYS!

THANKS FOR THE SMELLY BOX!

( LOVED IT)

OH,

 BY THE WAY, WE FIGURED YOU'D BE LOOKING 

FOR THIS

WE FOUND YOUR TAPE RECORDER WE BELIEVE

THAT YOU GUYS FORGOT IT BACK

INSIDE OF FOX' CAVE!

LOVE, DAISY, COOKIE, AND VICKY

Cookie's New Friend

Chapter 1:

Cookie is a very happy mutt, who loves to play

and go on fun adventures. So, one 

day when her mother asked her. To go to the 

local store to pick up some lamb bones for dinner

Cookie was very happy to do it. For in her mind

every time Cookie's mom asked her to go anywhere

She thought of it as if she was going on a

new adventure and then doing some kind of chore

Soon Cookie was inside the store picking out the

juices bones. That she could find

Two older poodles were standing a couple of feet

away from her. Talking rather loudly

"I swear sometimes I think that husband of mine. Has

courage of a cat stuck outside a thunderstorm."

Mrs. Crabby was telling the other poodle

""Excuse me Mrs. Crabby, but what is your husband

so scared of?" Cookie asked

"Cookie, didn't your mother ever tell you it's not

polite? To listen to other private conversations?"

Mrs. Crabby snorted

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to but you were talking a

bit loud. "So, it was hard for me not to listen,"

Cookie mumbled

"Cookie, have you ever gone to the mountains 

behind the shore?" Mrs. Crabby asked her

"No, why?" Cookie asked

"Well, don't. Since there's an old mean fire dragon

who will eat anyone who dares to enter the 

mountain." Mrs. Crabby told her

"But if nobody has ever gone there. How

do you know if it's true?" Cookie asked

"Cookie, you shouldn't ask so many questions!

There's just is!" Mrs. Crabby frowned. Then walked away

along with the other poodle

Chapter 2:

Cookie walked away trying to make sense of

what she just heard

"I bet there really isn't no real dragon. I bet she 

just made up that stupid story because she was

upset that I interrupted her dumb conversation."

Cookie frowned. "Tomorrow morning I'm going to the

mountain and see for myself. If there's any dragon

really living there."

So, the next morning after an early breakfast

Cookie asked her mother if she could go exploring

"Okay Cookie, but don't wander off too far."

Her mother smiled. Cookie walked and walked for a

very long time until she reached the entrance that 

lead towards the mountain

She started to get a little nervous

"What if there really is a dragon who wants to eat me?"

"What will I do then?" She thought to herself

For a second Cookie wanted to turn around and 

go back home. But a little nagging voice inside her

head urged her to go on. Shortly she started to climb

the mountain until she reached the top

"Finally, I made it. "Wow, I can see the whole town from 

up here!"

Cookie was feeling proud of herself. When she 

suddenly remembered why she climbed the 

mountain in the first place

"So far so good. No dragon, just like I thought there

wouldn't be."

Chapter 3:

It was getting late Cookie knew that she had

to go back. Before her mom started wondering

where she was. She was halfway down when Cookie

tripped over a loose rock and fell

"Oh wow! That was some fall. 

"Are you okay?" A soft-spoken voice asked

Cookie slowly opened her eyes and cried out

"Whoa!" I'm so sorry Ms. Dragon I never meant to climb

your mountain. Without permission and if you don't

eat me I promise never to do it again."

The dragon just stared at Cookie for a moment then 

busted out laughing

"I'm not going to eat you. Why would you think

something like that?"

Cookie was very scared as she repeated the story

that she heard the day before at the market.

And after she finished, she was certain that the dragon

would eat her. But the dragon just laughed even harder

and asked

"What's your name little one?"

"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Cookie"

I'm Joy. "Why don't you climb on my back and I

shall take you down the rest of the way."

Cookie seemed hesitant to move

"It's okay Cookie. I promise not to eat you on the

way down." Joy laughed. Cookie slowly climbs on her

back

Soon they both were joking and laughing as they 

slid down the rest of the way off the mountain

"Wow!" That was fun!"  Cookie cried once they reached 

the entrance

"But I better go back home. My mom's probably having

a cow not knowing where I am."

Joy agreed

"I hope that you come back and visit me

sometimes." I get a bit lonely up here with

no one to play with."

"Oh, I'll!" And Joy, I don't know why they talk

bad about you. You're one of the nicest dragons

"I've ever met!" Cookie cried out happily

Joy laughed

"I thought I was the only dragon you've met so far."

But to answer your question Cookie, "My grandma

taught me a long time ago that no one could ever tell

by just hearing about someone. "Or seeing them 

what they're really like or what they feel."

"I've been living in these mountains for many years

"And just because one person spread some false story 

about me. "The rest of the town chose to believe it

I'm sure they must have their reasons why. "Anyways

I guess they're not as brave as you are. To come out

here and see if those stories are true or not."

"Now, get before your mom tans that little butt

of yours."

Chapter 4:

Cookie waved goodbye to Joy. Then took 

off running back home

"Cookie!" Where have you been?" I've been

worried sick about you."

Her mom frowned. Cookie quickly told her about her

new adventure and about meeting Joy

"Wow, it sounds like you had a very busy day." But

the next time just let me know where you're going.

"Okay?"

"Okay," Cookie answered kissing all over her face

"Okay, okay!" Her mom laughed

"Tell you what. Tomorrow after you do all your chores

"Why don't we take a panic basket and some of 

your friends to go meet Joy? "I'll even ask Mrs. Crabby,

to come with us. I'm sure once they all meet your new

friend. "They'll be more careful about what they say or what

they choose to believe."
