Cookie's Magical Computer
Chapter 1:
Cookie was one bored puppy, not only was it
storming outside. So she couldn't go out and
play with her friends. But her mom just finished
telling her that she had to rush out to the hospital
due to a work emergency. Before she left she
let Cookie know that Ms. Ox would be coming over
to pup-sit her until she came back
"I hate it when she treats me like a puppy.
I'm old enough to take care of myself."
Cookie frowned. She went into the kitchen to
grab a bag of meaty bones then go to the living room.
She turned on the TV but couldn't find anything
she wanted to watch. She wondered what she
would do next when the glimmer of her mom's computer
screen caught her eye
Cookie knew that she wasn't allowed to touch her mom's
computer unless she was home. But she didn't know
it wasn't going to hurt her
A little voice inside Cookie's head told her
Chapter 2:
Cookie carefully turned on the computer and
waited for it to warm up
Welcome
How can I help you?
The computer asked after a couple of seconds
"I'd like to play my Puppy in the Valley game."
Cookie typed in
One moment, please
Then after another minute, the computer added
Please press play
But instead of the cute puppies that were supposed
to pop onto the screen. A bright light filled the
screen and before Cookie could figure out what was
going on. She was begin sucked inside the computer
Cookie was suddenly flying through a colorful tunnel
of bright lights. And a group of strange-looking animals
all seemed to be talking to her at the same time
But she was flying to fast to make out what they were
saying. And just when she thought that she'd be trapped
inside this tunnel forever. A blast of cold air blew her
out
There's an error in the system!
There's an error in the system!
A shocked and confused Cookie quickly turned off
the computer and whistled
"Oh wow, there's no way that the gang is going to
believe me. When I tell them what just happened."
She looked over to the clock on the wall and wondered
"Ms. Ox should've been here by now. I better
call my mom and tell her what happened."
Chapter 3:
Cookie for sure thought she was she'd be grounded
for using her mom's computer. But instead,
her mom only laughed after hearing Cookie's story
"Oh Cookie, that's some imagination that you've.
But sweetie, I only left ten minutes ago." I'm
sure that Ms. Ox will be there any minute now
"Try not to burn down the house or destroy my computer
before then. I'll be home soon."
"There's no way that just happened ten minutes ago."
Cookie thought to herself. She returned to the
computer and just like before got the same message
Soon afterward she was speaking with her
new friends
"Hi, Cookie, it's nice to see you again. Would you like
to play with us?" A red turtle asked her
"Sure. But I can't stay too long I've to be back
before my sitter notices that I'm gone." And
calls my mom." Cookie answered him
"Don't worry we'll make sure that you get back
in time." The turtle smiled
Cookie was having such a good time playing
with her new friends. That she lost all track of time
After a few minutes, she announced
"Sorry guys, but I better get back before. I get
in some real trouble."
"No problem Cookie, but come back and play with
us soon." The turtle answered
"Oh, I'll. But umm, can you please tell me how I can
get back home?" Cookie asked. The turtle laughed
before answering her
"Just close your eyes and say computer send me
back."
Chapter 4:
Then after thanking her new friends. She did
what they told her to do and within minutes
she was back home. Cookie ran upstairs to her
room and was surprised to find her mom sitting
on her bed
"Mom? What's wrong?"
"Sorry, but who are you?" Her mom asked
"Oh, very funny Mom!" Cookie laughed
"Cookie, is that really you? Where have you been?"
I've been worried sick for months just wondering
what happened to you." Her mom sobbed
"Huh?" What are you talking about?" I've only gone
for a few hours. Remember that I called you and
told you how I got sucked inside your computer?"
Well after we hung up I went back and it happened
again." Cookie began to explain
"But Cookie, that's impossible. Here, take a look
for yourself." Her mom told her before she handed
Cookie a mirror. Cookie looked at herself and screamed
her reflection showed a much older Yorkie. Instead
of her fur full black and brown hair, it was
a dark grey. The next thing she remembered was
feeling light-headed and then slipping into darkness
a few minutes later she opened her eyes
and noticed that she was in a room that wasn't
hers.
"Oww, my head. Where am I? And why does my
head hurt so much?" She wondered. She tried to
get up but she suddenly felt dizzy again
Chapter 5:
"Whoa, take it easy sweetie."
"Mom?"
"Yes, dear?" Her mom smiled
"Where am I? And why does my head hurt so
much?" She asked her
"You're in the hospital don't you remember?"
"You hurt your head when you slid down the
driveway. And hit the side of the car door. I tried
to warn you that the driveway was too slippery."
But you didn't listen, I'm just glad that you're going
to be okay." Her mom explained
"So, I wasn't sucked inside your computer
and played with some weird-looking turtles?"
Cookie frowned
"Wow!" Those must've been some strong meds
that the doctor gave you. To have you dream like
that!" Her mom laughed
"I know, why don't I go to the cafeteria and get
you a nutty shake? That should make you feel
better." She added smiling then kissed Cookie on
top of her head
Once she left Cookie felt more confused than ever
she laid back down and stared at the ceiling and
thought
"Dream or no dream. There's no way that I'm
going anywhere near her computer."
Anytime soon"
